Vivienne VSassy
The acclaimed Vivienne VSassy is the brainchild behind VSassy Academy.  Vivienne creates a safe place in her classes where women are supported and encouraged to push their own boundaries and grow as both performer and person.

Vivienne is passionate about people, getting to know them and becoming excited about their goals. She has a Bachelor of Music Theatre majoring in voice, dance, acting and stage-management and is a respected member of the Burlesque Community. A qualified personal trainer, her experience in the fitness industry helps provide informed and effective programmes for students.

Throughout her time at the Conservatorium of Music, Vivienne extended her theatrical experience by participating in front and backstage work. She performed in a number of musical productions and dance concerts. Her backstage experience is in lighting, sound, stage-management and promotions.

VSassy is also the head of local troupe, The Velvet Kittens, who burst onto the scene in 2012 as a collection of her most accomplished students. It is her love of dance and an interest in fitness that brought Vivienne to pole dancing and burlesque and now she wants to share her addiction with the whole world.

Vivienne currently teaches all levels of Burlesque and Pole Dancing as well as Zumba and Personal Training. Vivienne is also available for private tuition and special functions.

Clare Challen (Clare Leigh Risque)
Teacher
Clare has been idolising the vertical bar for close on 10 years. She adopted pole dancing as her sport of choice as a way of escaping the daily grind of motherhood, to a world where women can enjoy expressing their femininity on their own terms. She believes that pole is an exhilarating dance form, where there is nothing more exciting than busting a new trick, combo or routine.

Pole has been an empowering and liberating experience for Clare, having been a State finalist in Miss Pole Dance Queensland in 2010. She’s previously performed in burlesque revues and other venues around brisbane.

Clare’s irreverent yet fast paced teaching style gets your heart rate up with movement and cheeky laughs.

With many years teaching experience behind her, Clare finds the best part of teaching is watching the joy a student gets from achieving their goals.
